I thought I’d start by sharing the most epic of engagement stories…
Alexander decided for their 5 year anniversary to take Brianna on a treasure hunt that involved a canoe, digging up a treasure chest in the sand, fishing for a message in a bottle and tearing open a toy dinosaur for more hidden clues. Alex even made ‘ye olde’ paper using coffee and tea stains. This guy knows no limits! The treasure hunt ended with a treehouse cabin and Alex waiting for Brianna on one knee surrounded with rose petals spelling out ‘will you marry me’. Brianna cried some very happy tears and Alex slid a plastic grand piano ring on her finger.
With an engagement like that it was always going to be a one of a kind wedding. Almost everything from the dresses, bouquets, invites and decorations were all handmade. Just some of the highlights were Brianna’s amazing handmade wedding dress, the bridal party dancing back down the aisle, Brianna singing Alex a serenade on her keyboard under a big old tree and the countless amount of group hugs I witnessed.
There was a lot of love going round and I’m honoured to be part of what was truly an amazing day.
Thanks to the impeccable Ben Murphy for second shooting with me on the day as well.
Brianna & Alex’s wedding is also featured on the most awesome RockNRoll Bride.
The beautiful song playing is called ’17’ by Brisbane band Adam & Dusty.
