Leah asked me to photograph their wedding in early 2011, before I had little to show apart from a collection of random photos on a blog. I remember being surprised when Leah told me how much she loved my shots – I didn’t think I was really anywhere but she knew. I have you to thank Leah (and Ally, and David) for being a part of my story.
It was also the day that Adam Yauch from the Beastie Boys died. I don’t want to put a dampener on what a rad day it was, but the guy was a genius and deserves a mention. Farewell Yauch, you inspired me from when I was a kid right through to me writing this now. You’ll be missed.
I guess it’s one of those things. Photographers sometimes write a thesis on our blogs about the wedding day we just shot and try to capture all the emotion and heart, which is crazy really because the images are just below. What I will say is Leah and David are people magnets, they have good ‘juju’. If you met them, you’d like them. Instantly. They were so awesome too how they were willing to do just about anything in the name of photography, including posing as mannequins in a store window 🙂
Leah, you are beautiful inside and out. David you are way more photogenic than you let on.
Leah and David are on an amazing round the world trip for the next three months for their honeymoon.
